Optional – inserting the pad:
A pad is also available in addition to the brace and can be ordered as a ser­
vice part if necessary.
► Optional – inserting the pad: Use the hook and loop closure to attach
the pad to the inside of the brace so that it is at least 1 cm above the seat
surface when seated.
Fitting and application
1) Optional – inserting the pad: Use the hook and loop closure to attach
the pad to the inside of the brace. In the sitting position, the pad has to
be at least 1 cm above the seat surface.
2) Applying (see fig. 1): Place the brace around the trunk. Place the fin­
gers in the hand straps of the abdominal closure. Apply equal force to
both sides to pull the brace forward.
3) Hook and loop material (see fig. 2): Attach the right part to the left part
of the abdominal closure. Remove the fingers from the left and then from
the right hand strap. Make sure that the hook and loop surfaces are
closed evenly against each other and not in contact with clothing or skin.
4) Increasing compression: Pull the ends of the straps forward (see
fig. 3) and attach them to the closure (see fig. 4).
Final steps
1) Final inspection: Verify the correct fit and proper positioning of the
brace during handover to the patient. The brace is positioned correctly
when the lower edge of the brace extends just below the groin.
2) Instruct the patient: Explain to the patient how to apply the brace and
ensure that it is positioned correctly. Practice the application and
removal of the brace with the patient.
4.3 Cleaning

► Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
Clean the brace regularly:
1) Fasten all hook-and-loop closures.
2) Recommendation: Use a laundry bag or net.
3) Wash the support in warm water at 40 °C (104 °F) with standard mild
detergent. Do not use fabric softener. Rinse thoroughly.
