The PPP entries you make are summarized at the bottom of the
page.

page.
The DSL connection will be dropped after the line
is idle for a certain amount of time (measured in
minutes). Select 0 to ensure that you won't be
disconnected.
Maximum Receive Unit. Largest physical packet
size, in bytes, which a network can accept. Any
messages larger must be fragmented. The default
is 1492.
Maximum Transmission Unit. Largest physical
packet size, in bytes, which a network can send.
Any messages larger must be fragmented. The
default is 1492.
Maximum Segment Size. Largest data segment,
in bytes, allowed within each IP packet. The
default is 1432.
The Link Control Protocol echo interval is the
number of seconds between requests from a
sending device for a response from the peer
device. This value should be supplied by your
DSL provider. The default is 10.
The maximum consecutive failure is the maximum
number of times that an echo request can fail
before the link is terminated.
PPP user authentication method. The default is
Auto, which means that the X5v tries both PAP
(Password Authentication Protocol) and CHAP
(Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol).
You can also specify either CHAP or PAP.
Enabled by default. Clear this check box if you do
not want to be reconnected automatically when
the DSL connection is terminated unexpectedly.
Select Add/Modify to change the session
specified by the Session Name (if the session
name does not exist, it will be created).
Select Delete to delete this session.
This option (at the very bottom of the page) opens
the PPP Account Configuration page. See page
28.
