USB Recording Enhancements

Watermarks and Digital Signature
In this release you can stamp a video recorded in an USB storage plugged into the XT with the
date and time (updated each second) when they were recorded. You can also add an additional
label to the date and time stamped over the video (watermarks), to easily recognize the recording
context.
To assure an accurate recorded time, an additional clock icon is also displayed and stamped when
the XT is using Internet Time (NTP) for time synchronization.
To enable video stamping of date, time and optional label, browse to

 Date & Time: Yes/No*. You can enable date and time stamping over the recorded video. Time is
updated each second. Date and time are formatted according to the XT settings for country and
12/24h format. To assure date and time accuracy, a clock icon is displayed in the stamped date
and time if Internet Time is enabled (see Picture "Recorded video with Label and Date/Time
Stamping"). To enable Internet Time, browse to Configure>Advanced>System>Date &
Time>General and set Internet Time to Yes
 Label: You can define an optional label to impress on the recording video
 Digital Signature: Yes/No*. You can activate a digital signature of the recorded video. Once a video
is recorded, a hash of the video file is generated and signed using a certificate uploaded by the
customer; a p7m file is produced together with the video file. The p7m file contains the signed
hash and can be used to verify that the video has not been altered or tampered with. See next
section for details.
