Unit Nameplate
The unit nameplate is located on the right side of the
control panel. A typical unit nameplate is illustrated in
the following figure and contains the following
information:
•
Unit model and size descriptor
•
Unit serial number
•
Unit electrical requirements
•
Correct operating charge and refrigerant type
•
Unit test pressures and maximum operating
pressures
•
Unit literature
•
Drawing numbers for unit wiring diagrams
S S e e r r i i a a l l N N u u m m b b e e r r . . The unit serial number provides the
specific chiller identity. Always provide this serial
number when calling for service or during parts
identification.
S S e e r r v v i i c c e e M M o o d d e e l l N N u u m m b b e e r r . . The service model represents
the unit as built for service purposes. It identifies the
selections of variable unit features required when
ordering replacements parts or requesting service.
N N o o t t e e : : Unit-mounted Adaptive Frequency ™ Drives
(AFDs) are identified by a separate number; refer

"Model Number Descriptions," p.

models are defined and built using the Product
Definition and Selection (PDS) system. This system
describes the product offerings using a product coding
block which is made up of feature categories and codes
that identify all characteristics of a unit.
