Configuration
IP Address ....................................... The IP Address of the Skyline Wireless
Broadband Gateway, as seen by devices on the Internet.
Network Mask .................................. The Network Mask (Subnet Mask) for the
Internet IP Address.
PPPoE Link Status ............................ This indicates whether or not the
connection is currently established. The Connect button can be used to establish
or terminate a connection.

Log

Log window ...................................... The log window shows status messages
relating to the existing connection. The most common messages are:

"Connect on Demand" setting.

• R R R R e e e e s s s s e e e e t t t t p p p p h h h h y y y y s s s s i i i i c c c c a a a a l l l l c c c c o o o o n n n n n n n n e e e e c c c c t t t t i i i i o o o o n n n n : Preparing line for connection attempt.
• C C C C o o o o n n n n n n n n e e e e c c c c t t t t i i i i n n n n g g g g t t t t o o o o r r r r e e e e m m m m o o o o t t t t e e e e s s s s e e e e r r r r v v v v e e e e r r r r : Attempting to connect to the ISP's
server.
• R R R R e e e e m m m m o o o o t t t t e e e e S S S S e e e e r r r r v v v v e e e e r r r r l l l l o o o o c c c c a a a a t t t t e e e e d d d d : ISP has responded to connection attempt.
• S S S S t t t t a a a a r r r r t t t t P P P P P P P P P P P P : Attempting to login to ISP and establish a PPP connection.
• P P P P P P P P P P P P u u u u p p p p s s s s u u u u c c c c c c c c e e e e s s s s s s s s f f f f u u u u l l l l l l l l y y y y : Able to login to ISP and establish a PPP connec-
tion.
• I I I I d d d d l l l l e e e e t t t t i i i i m m m m e e e e - - - - o o o o u u u u t t t t r r r r e e e e a a a a c c c c h h h h e e e e d d d d : The connection has been idle for the time
period specified in the Idle Time-out field. The connection will now be ter-
minated.
• D D D D i i i i s s s s c c c c o o o o n n n n n n n n e e e e c c c c t t t t i i i i n n n n g g g g : The current connection is being terminated, due to
either Idle Time-out or the Disconnect button being clicked.
• E E E E r r r r r r r r o o o o r r r r : : : : R R R R e e e e m m m m o o o o t t t t e e e e S S S S e e e e r r r r v v v v e e e e r r r r n n n n o o o o t t t t f f f f o o o o u u u u n n n n d d d d : ISP did not respond. This could be a
Server problem, or a problem with the link to the server.
• E E E E r r r r r r r r o o o o r r r r : : : : P P P P P P P P P P P P C C C C o o o o n n n n n n n n e e e e c c c c t t t t i i i i o o o o n n n n f f f f a a a a i i i i l l l l e e e e d d d d : Unable to establish a PPP connection
with the ISP's server. This could be a login problem (name or password) or
a server problem.
• E E E E r r r r r r r r o o o o r r r r : : : : C C C C o o o o n n n n n n n n e e e e c c c c t t t t i i i i o o o o n n n n t t t t o o o o S S S S e e e e r r r r v v v v e e e e r r r r l l l l o o o o s s s s t t t t : The existing connection has been
lost. This could be caused by a power failure, link failure, or server failure.
• E E E E r r r r r r r r o o o o r r r r : : : : I I I I n n n n v v v v a a a a l l l l i i i i d d d d o o o o r r r r u u u u n n n n k k k k n n n n o o o o w w w w n n n n p p p p a a a a c c c c k k k k e e e e t t t t t t t t y y y y p p p p e e e e : The data received from the
ISP's server could not be processed. This could be caused by data corrup-
tion (from a bad link), or the server using a protocol which is not supported
by the Skyline Wireless Broadband Gateway.
