SERVICING LEAD ACID BATTERIES WITH HYDROLINK
WARNING: Battery posts, terminals, and related accessories contain lead and lead compounds, chemicals
known to the State of California to cause cancer and reproductive harm, and during charging,
strong inorganic acid mists containing sulfuric acid are involved, a chemical known to the
State of California to cause cancer. Wash hands after handling. For more information go to

1.
Position the water jug at a level below the top of the
batteries to prevent siphoning. Insert the open end of the hand pump
assembly servicing tube into a jug of distilled water
2.
Prime the bulb by squeezing it until it is filled with water.
3.
Remove the dust cap from the quick disconnect on the
battery servicing manifold and snap the couplers together.
NOTE: Battery packs equipped with BatteryShield
take
more than 1/2 gallon of water
has illuminated. Failure to pump the HydroLink
will no longer compress may result in uneven battery servicing
and premature battery failure.
4.
Squeeze the hand pump bulb with firm pressure to pump
water into the battery cells. When the bulb is solid and will no longer
compress, the cells are full.
5.
Press the yellow button to separate the quick disconnect
assembly. Replace the dust cap on the servicing manifold coupler. Any
remaining water in the pump lines can be pumped back into the water jug.
NOTE: Do not leave the hand pump connected to the batteries
after servicing is complete.
