ASSEMBLY GROUP BACK
2.9.1 Adjustable back cover
The back belts can be adjusted which enables an individual
molding of the back. For example, if the upper belts on the
back are loosened, then a molding form of the back follows
and allows more torso stabilization from the side for the
wheelchair user.
ATTENTION
Please note that the setting of the back cover influences
the centre of gravity and the tilting behavior of the wheel-
chair.
•
(1) Remove the back cushion (A),
•
(2) remove the cover (A) of the Velcro (B) on the
back,
•
(3) loosen the Velcro attachments (A) of the belts
which need to be changed,
•
adjust new length and reconnect the Velcro,
•
replace the back cover (3, A) over the Velcro and
close it at the bottom edge.
ATTENTION
(4) The overlapping of the Velcro must be at least 8 cm
per side.
ATTENTION
When using a stabilizing rod, the dip of the back cover
cannot be so big so that the back comes in contact with
stabilizing rod. Danger of pressure marks!
2.9.2 Curved back plate
ATTENTION
All four guiding pins must be securely in the holder.
(5+6) Adjust the correct and firm fit of the guiding pins with
the screw connections in the 4 long holes (4).
INFORMATION
Should the seat be widened, then the curved back plate
must replaced with a new one with the width of the seat.
