10.0 Troubleshooting

Prior to dispatch, the ATMOS
should appear, you may possibly clear it yourself if you follow these notes
Problem
Unit does not start
Insufficient perfor-
mance
1. Low or no vacuum
is indicated
2. High vacuum is
indicated
Device switches off
automatically when
switched on
A / C 161 Battery was subjected to an extensive functional test. If, nevertheless, a failure

Possible causes
- Discharged battery
- Loose power plug of the charging
device
- Discharged battery
- Filter is blocked
- 1.1 DDS bacterial filter is missing
- 1.2 Leakages within the hose system
or in collection canister lid
- 1.3 Secretion or blood has been su-
cked in and valve plates of the pump
are contaminated
- 2.1 DDS bacterial filter is blocked.
- 2.2 Float of overflow safety closes
the collection canister inlet
- Applied vacuum (over 40%)

Remedy
- Connect the battery charging
power pack to the device. The
battery should be recharged for
1 – 2 hours prior to operation with
battery.
- Check all plug and socket connec-
tions. Pay attention to the control
lamp, it must be illuminated when
all connections are o.k.
- Recharge the battery.
- Exchange the filter.
- Insert DDS bacterial filter
- Check collection canister lid and
hose system on tight fitting.
- Connect the filter once again to the
connection nozzle.
- Check the suction lid on tight and
correct fitting.
- Unit has to be returned for repair.
- Exchange DDS bacterial filter
- Check collection canister inlet;
if necessary empty secretion
canister, clean the oversuction
protection and check float ball for
flexibility.
- Venting the vacuum, then recom-
missioning is possible
