Safety instructions for maintenance
Maintenance may only be done by persons that are aware of the safety instructions and have
knowledge on how to hygienically handle the food products used.
7.1
Before maintenance
Before maintenance or repair activities, make sure to:
Disconnect the appliance of the electrical power supply.
Disconnect the appliance of the water supply.
Wait for the appliance to cool down. The heating surfaces may be hot after use. This might
cause severe burns.
Wash your hands thoroughly..
Make sure you do not touch the beans or instant products with your hands.
WARNING!
Never attempt to remove, modify, over-ride or frustrate any safety device on the
appliance. Interfering with safety devices could lead to fatal or serious personal injury.
WARNING!
During the rinse programs hot water comes out of the outlets. Make sure to keep distance.
WARNING!
Take care that steam hoses do not come loose from the connectors

Maintaining the appliance:
During maintenance or repair activities:
Never leave the appliance unattended.
Do not touch any sharp edges or corners.
Always use the original Animo components.

Appliance recycling and disposal
8.1
Packaging material
Return the cardboard and polystyrene packaging material to your Animo dealer or inform at your
local disposal authority how it should be disposed.
8.2
Refrigerant
Some of the Animo appliances contain refrigerant fluid. Refrigerant must not be disposed of with
normal waste. Refrigerant fluid may only be processed and recycled by specialized companies that
have government authorization. If not correctly disposed, the appliance can be harmful to the
environment due to the specific substances it contains.
