6.1 Refilling the appliance
When refilling the appliance, make sure to:

Do not touch any sharp edges or corners.

Only put the prescribed contents in the containers. Incorrect contents may cause damage to the
appliance.
For example, do not put ground coffee, instant coffee, raw beans or any other substance in the
bean canister.

Do not touch the grinder while filling the canisters. The grinders can cause cutting injuries.
6.2

Cleaning the appliance

Before cleaning the appliance
Make sure to:

Wait for the appliance to cool down. Heating surfaces may be hot after use. This might cause
severe burns.

Do not submerge the appliance.

Do not use a water jet to clean the appliance.

Do not touch sharp objects such as the grinder. This can cause cutting injuries.

During the rinse programs hot water comes out of the outlets. Make sure to keep distance.
WARNING!
Take care that steam hoses do not come loose from the connectors
CAUTION!
Only clean the appliance by using detergent and disinfectant products that are approved by
Animo.
During cleaning:

Never leave the appliance unattended.

Wear protective clothing like face protection and safety gloves.

Always keep the operating controls and moving parts free from dirt and grease.

When emptying the dip tray or waste bins, do not contaminate the machine.

Do not use strong detergents, scouring pads or steel wool to clean the appliance. Do not use
chemicals unless approved by Animo.

Do not open covers that are only removable with a tool. Behind these covers are moving parts
which can cause cutting injuries.

Do not put appliance parts in a dishwasher except for the instant canister.

Dry canisters and other parts thoroughly before replacing them in the appliance.
If your appliance uses fresh milk products, make sure that you:

Avoid contamination by working hygienically.

Use a sanitizing solution approved by Animo, according the cleaning instructions.

Wash your hands thoroughly before cleaning the appliance.

Wear safety gloves.

After cleaning, do not touch the surfaces and hoses that are in contact with products with bare
hands.
