Installing a FlexIO
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see
Step 2 Power off the server. For details, see
Step 3 Remove the power cables. For details, see
Step 4 Remove the server. For details, see
Step 5 Remove the filler panel. See
Figure 5-20 Removing the filler panel
Step 6 Take a spare FlexIO out of its ESD bag.
Step 7 Insert the FlexIO into the slot and push it into the chassis until it cannot be pushed any further.
Check whether the captive screw is securely attached to the rear panel. See (1) in
5-21.
