4 Operation

4.1 Switching on the device

Note
Always switch the machine off before leaving the office.
▶ Switch on the device using the main switch.
ð
The KaVo log is illuminated on the display of the dentist element.
ð
A melody is hears as soon as the unit has completely been started up.

4.2 Move the dentist's unit

Risk of injury when the dentist or assistant element is moved.
The patient or office staff may be injured or bruised.
▶ Monitor the patient and office staff when moving the dentist or assistant
element.

4.2.1 Moving the T table

Excessive load on the support system
The patient or treatment personnel may be injured.
The support system may be damaged.
▶ Do not exceed the permissible maximum weight (generated e.g. by instru-
ments and accessories).
▶ Do not use the swinging arm for a support!
Damage from overloading the dentist element.
Exceeding the maximum weight of more than 2 kg by adding handpieces, ac-
cessories, etc., can cause damage.
▶ Do not overload the dentist element!
The joints in the support arm have optional pneumatic brakes. The support arm
is difficult to move when the device is turned off.
▶ When the device is turned on, grab the dentist element by the handle and
move it.

The brakes are released. The dentist element is easy to move.
