5 Mounting and connection
5.3.3

Checking function

The MiniCODER GEL 2444K␣P␣␣␣␣␣␣␣ can be adjusted, analysed and
configured using the testing and programming unit GEL 211.
 Check the function of the MiniCODER using a suitable instrument, preferably an
oscilloscope.
 Connect the MiniCODER to the instrument
 Connect the MiniCODER to the power supply
 Switch on the power supply.
 Slowly rotate the target wheel and monitor the output signal on the instrument.
If function is correct an adequate sine wave or square-wave signal will be displayed
on the oscilloscope (→ page
 Switch off the power supply.
 Remove the instrument and the power supply.
5.3.4

Completing mounting

► After a successful function test, tighten the two mounting screws to the torque of
max. 2.5 Nm.

Connecting MiniCODER electrically

Pay attention to the minimum bending radius so that the connection
cable is not damaged by excessive bending
 Observe the instructions on electromagnetic compatibility while laying the cables

 Correctly connect the MiniCODER as per the pin layout
