7.3 Removing and installing hardware
Note
The configuration data of the device may be deleted after battery replacement, depending on
the BIOS setting. With BIOS setting "Profile: User", the configuration data of the device is
retained; only the date and time must be set again.
1. Remove the battery from the socket
at the marked location.
2. Insert the new battery as shown.
3. Press the new battery centered into
the socket applying slight pressure.
Ensure that the battery is securely
seated.
4. Dispose of the old battery properly.
Further procedure
● Connect all cables.
● Close the device as specified in section "Open the device. (Page 53)".
● Set the BIOS setup.
The configuration data of the device may be deleted after a battery replacement
depending on the BIOS setup setting.
