SAFETY WARNINGS
• The equipment and its "User's Manual" is accompanied by information concerning the "Safety Instructions" (See
document EK266*08). Before proceeding with the installation or start up, make sure that you have both sets of
information and if not, please ask for them. Compliance with "Safety Instructions" is obligatory, observance of this being
legally the user's responsibility. Having read the safety instructions, keep them in a safe place for future reference.
The INVERTER product described in this User's Manual was designed, manufactured and commercialised in
accordance with standard EN ISO 9001 Quality Assurance. The CE marking indicates conformity with the directives
of the CEE (quoted between brackets) by means of the application of the following standards:
• EN 60950: 1992 + A1 + A2:1993 + A3 + Corr.: 1995. Safety of information technology equipment, including
electrical business equipment. (Low Voltage Directive 73/23/CEE).
• EN 41003: 1993. Particular safety requirements for equipments to be connected to telecomunication networks.
(Low Voltage Directive 73/23/CEE).
• EN 50081-1: 1992.- Electromagnetic compatibility.
Generic emission standard.
Part 1: Residential, commential and light industry. (Directive on Electromagnetic Compatibility 89/336/CEE).
• EN 50082-1: 1992.- Electromagnetic compatibility.
Generic immunity standard.
Part 1: Residential, commential and light industry. (Directive on Electromagnetic Compatibility 89/336/CEE).
When an INVERTER is used as an component in a complex or system installation, the Generic Standards or Product
standards corresponding to this specific installation or system must be applied. It is possible that when elements are
added or as it is subject ot the requirements of a certain standard, the unit might be subject to corrections to assure
conformity with European directives and corresponding national legislation. It is the responsibility of the Projector and/
or Installer to comply with the standard, providing the installation with all necessary corrective elements to this end.
There is also the phenomenon of interference from harmonic currents on the input which, though not subject ot
regulations, must be corrected in certain isntallation. Depending on the ocnditions of the installation of the INVERTER,
the corrections described below in the aside Electromagnetic Compatibility will or not be adopted.
Furthermore, for variations and as regards Safety (standards EN 60950 and 41003), the following Product aspects
must be taken into account:
1. The INVERTER is an electrical unit with Class I protection. It must be connected to the corresponding ground
protection unction to ensure protection against electric shocks. The protection ground socket must be independent
of the Telecommunications Network (if there is one), which may be connected to the INVERTER input (accumulator
battery line) through other units.
