• Connect the input terminals (X1-X4) to a DC supply source or battery group, respecting the polarity indicated on
the label of the unit and in this manual, and also the colour of the cables (red for positive, black for negative and
green-yellow for ground).
6.4.- AC input connection for the Bypass (only in versions IS-B and IS-T), terminals (X14-X17).
The ground connection (
connecting the DC voltage to the INVERTER input. Depending on the model of the equipment, an exclusive
junciton is supplied in the DC input terminal block, or a general one, which in either case wil be identified with the
label ground terminal label (
The neutrals on the Bypass input (IS-B) and output are identical «without galvanic insulation». For models
with separator transformer (IS-T), there being an output pole connected to ground.
• Connect the Bypass input terminals (X14-X17) to the AC mains, respecing the phase order and neutral indicated
on the label of the unit and in this manual.
6.5.- Output connection, terminals (X6-X9).

terminal is supplied in the DC input terminal block, or a general one, which in either case will be identified with

• Connect the critical loads to the output terminals (X6-X9), respecting the phase order and neutral indicated on
the label of the unit and in this manual.
• With respect to the protection that we must place on the INVERTER output, we recommend that the output
power be distributed in at least three lines, each of which will have a protection magnetothermal with a value of
a third of the nominal power. Such a distribution of the output power will prevent any fault in any of the machines
connected to the unit that causes a short circuit from affecting more than the line that is faulty. The rest of the
connected loads will have assured continuity due to the triggering of the protection only in the line affected by the
short-circuit.
6.6.- Ground socket, terminals (X5).
• It is recommended and demanded by the Low Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation that the units be connected to
ground. If there is a noise-less ground (computer) and also the general ground in the building, it is best to use the
former and omit the latter. Two grounds must never be connected.
Make sure that all the loads connected to the CS are only connected to the ground of these units. If the ground
connection of the load or loads is not restricted to this single point, it will create ground return loops that will affect
the quality of the power supplied.
All terminals labelled as earth ( ), are joined together and to the equipment ground. Also depending on the
version, this union is connected to the output neutral of the inverter output (see section 6.6.1). Therefore the
output line is joined to the earth terminal ( ).
