This configuration task is performed in Composer on a project created for the
NK8237 gateway starting from an empty template to which a Modbus system has
been added.
Adding the folder for the NK8237 gateway
1. Select the main node of the project.
2. In the toolbar on the left, click the Generic Template icon
A new folder is added to the project structure.
By default, the new node is named "Generic Node #1".
3. Rename the folder node and enter e.g. "NK8237 Gateway".
Adding the NK8237 node
1. Select the NK8237 folder node.
2. In the toolbar on the left, select the Network folder icon
3. In the menu that appears, select the NK823x icon
A new folder is added to the project structure.
Set the NK Type to NK8237 (see the Node tab).
4. Rename the folder node and enter e.g. "NK8237 Unit".
5. Select the Node tab.
6. In the NK Type, select 3- NK8237.
7. If required (see 7.8 on p.49), click the Enable secure download checkbox.
Configuring the NK8237 for Modbus TCP/IP
1. Select the NK8237 node and expand the subtree.
2. Select the Ethernet node.
3. Select the Node tab.
4. In the form on the right pane, you must enter:
 IP address.
 Subnet mask.
 Default gateway (optional, it may be left = "0.0.0.0" if not used).
 If NAT (Network Address Translation) is used on the network, enable it and
enter the external IP address (NAT address) of the NK8237.
5. If a multiple routing table is required, select the NK8237 node and then the
the Routing tab.
 Click Add to add a new route and specify the Gateway IP address that can
provide the routing service for a Destination IP address applying a Subnet
Mask.
The Metric parameter (1-9999) can be used to specify a routing cost, e.g.
the number of device along the network path, that defines a priority in case
multiple routes are available for the same destination. The higher the num-
ber (the cost), the lower the corresponding priority.
 Add as many routes as required by your network configuration.
