Aligning the print head

If you have printed the nozzle check pattern (see page 129) and determined that the print head needs
aligning, align it from the operation panel.
NOTE
You can also align the print head from your computer. (See Software Guide.)

Follow this procedure:

Load A4- or letter-size plain paper in the multi-purpose tray.

Press [Additional Functions].

Use [ ] or [ ] to select <3.MAINTENANCE>.

Press [OK].

Use [ ] or [ ] to select <4.ALIGN PRINT HEAD>.

Press [OK].

• The machine prints a print head position pattern.

Beginning from column A on the printout, enter checkmarks in the
patterns that have the most solid image.

Use [ ] or [ ] to select the pattern number that you checked in column A
on the printout in step 7.
