Registering sender information

You can register sender information (Transmit Terminal Identification (TTI)) in your machine so
that your name or company name, your fax/telephone number, and the date and time of
transmission are printed in small type at the top of each page to be received. Thus, whenever you
send a fax, the recipient receiving the fax knows who sent it, and when it was sent. Below is an
example of how your sender information would print on a fax sent from your machine:

be displayed in front
of the number.

NOTE
• You can set the sender information to print inside or outside the image area. (See page 169.)
• The recipient's name is not printed when sending a color fax.
• You can enter the sender information from the operation panel. (See page 85.)

Entering the date and time

CAUTION
• When your machine is connected to a computer, even if the date and time are entered from the
operation panel of the machine, the date and time will be read from your computer when you start the
computer or disconnect and connect the USB cable. Enter the correct date and time into a computer
when your machine is connected to a computer.
Follow this procedure:

Press [Additional Functions], and then press [OK].

Use [ ] or [ ] to select <5.USER SETTINGS>.
