    Preface There are two types of user PROM chips that can be used in PanelView 1200 terminal: EPROMs and EEPROMs. EPROMs are Electrically Programmable Read Only Memory chips. EEPROMs are Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory chips. The user PROMs store application files in memory that is protected from power failure and failure of the internal battery.
