CAUTION!
Electric shock can kill! Before making electrical input connections to the power
source,
"Machinery
connections are to be made from a line disconnect switch, place the Switch in the
OFF position and padlock it to prevent inadvertent tripping.
If the connection is made from a Fusebox, remove the corresponding fuses and
padlock the box cover. If It is not possible to use padlock, attach a red tag to the
disconnect switch

The Origo 4004 iMV are multivoltage, ie, they may connected to any power network 220-
440 V (three phase), with fluctuations of + - 10%, without adjustment. The system
overvoltage and undervoltage shuts down the system when the network has more than
484 V or less than 198 V. The power source provides total output power when operating
within these limits.
4.5
Ground cable
The ground terminal is connected to the chassi of the power source. It should be
connected to a efficient ground point of the main power installation. DO NOT connect
the ground cable of the input cable to any of the bornes of the ON/OFF switch. This puts
the machine chassi under electric voltage hazard.
4.6
Connection of welding and return cable
To guarantee a perfect functioning of the
cable, isolated and with the smallest length possible and compatible with its
applications considered, in a well kept state and firmly fixed to its terminals, also
make sure that the connections in the piece to be weld or in the working station and
in the Negative terminal of the set are well fixed.
Any total length (which should be the smallets possible) and any welding current used,
the work clamp cable part should correspond to the maximum current of the
4004 iMV
used to supply the duty cycle of 60%.
The thermal welding circuit causes a drop in the voltage which added to the internal
natural drop in the power source itself, reducing the voltage arc and the maximum
current available making the arc unstable.
