5 Troubleshooting
SYMPTOM
The SCAN indicator is not
visible on the display.
Battery is not charged.
BATTERY indicator is blinking
and you hear a warning tone.
Out-of-range warning tone is
generated.
Handset can not find the base
station (the SCAN indicator blinks)
No dial tone
It is not possible to dial a number.
The handset doesn't ring.
When dialling an external
telephone number, the
connection is broken.
There is no key tone.
SOLUTION
•
Check the battery of the handset.
•
Place the handset on the base to charge
the handset battery.
•
Remove the handset battery, put it back in
and switch on the handset.
•
Check the battery of the handset.
•
Clean the charge terminal of the handset and
the base station.
•
Charge the handset battery.
•
The handset is out of radio coverage, you
must enter within radio coverage.
•
When the handset is out of radio coverage,
you must enter within radio coverage.
•
Check the adapter of the base.
•
P rogram the default values of the base station.
•
Register the handset correctly to the base
station.
•
Remove the handset battery, put it back in
and switch on the handset.
•
Disconnect the adapter from the base and
connect it again.
•
Check if the telephone line is connected
correctly to the base.
•
Select the correct dialling system
(DTMF or PULSE).
•
Program the ringer volume again.
•
Check if the lock mode is activated, if so
deactivate it.
•
Activate the key tone function.
