Installing and removing the backup battery

The service life of a backup battery is approximately 5 to 8 years, depending on the operating
conditions.
Note
An empty backup battery impairs the function of the device. Replace the backup battery in good
time.
Replace the backup battery only with a battery of the same type or a type recommended by
Siemens.

Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations.
