9.1 Troubleshooting

Suspected malfunction
If you suspect a malfunction due to unusual product reactions, isolate the device from power.
Immediately inform qualified personnel to check the function and ensure that the product
functions correctly.
The following signs can indicate a malfunction:
● Unusual or no functioning
● Unusual heat generation
● Smoke development
Repair
Return the device to the manufacturer for repair, with detailed information about the
malfunction. The device must only be repaired there.

Problem
PC crashes when
booting.
The device is not op‐
erational.
The monitor remains
dark.

Possible cause
● Double assignment of
input/output addresses
● Double assignment of
hardware interrupts
and/or DMA channels
● Signal frequencies or
signal levels are not
maintained
● Deviating connector
assignment
There is no power supply
to the device.
The monitor is switched
off.
The monitor is in "power‐
save" mode.
The brightness button has
been set to dark.
The power cord or the
monitor cable is not con‐
nected.
To correct or avoid error
Please contact your technical customer service.
Check if the power switch is set to ON.
Switch on the monitor.
Press any key on the keyboard.
Set the monitor brightness button to obtain more light. For detailed
information, refer to the monitor operating instructions.
● Check whether the power cord has been properly connected to the
monitor and to the system unit or to the grounded shockproof outlet.
● Check whether the monitor cable has been properly connected to
the system unit and to the monitor.
If the monitor screen still remains dark after you have performed these
checks, please contact your technical support team.
