11.1 Installing and removing the backup battery
Risk of explosion and release of harmful substances
Improper handling of lithium batteries can cause them to explode.
Explosion of the batteries and the released toxic substances can cause severe physical injury.
Worn batteries jeopardize the function of the device.
Note the following when handling lithium batteries:

NOTICE
Date and time setting are lost
The time setting is cleared if it takes more than 30 seconds to replace the battery. The device
time is no longer synchronized. Timer-controlled programs will no longer run or run at the
incorrect time. This may damage the plant.
Set the device time again.
1. Remove the screws shown in the figure.
2. Pull the cover plate to the left and lift it up.
3. Carefully detach the backup battery plug.
4. Remove the black battery holder from the cable from the device housing.
5. Remove the battery from the battery holder.
