No Sound

These are the steps you can take if you canÕt hear any sound during a video call.
If you have these
symptoms...
While in a call, you
canÕt hear the people at
the far-end site and they
canÕt hear you.
You canÕt hear sound
from a VCR.
You canÕt hear someone
joining the conference
by telephone (using the
Voice Call option).
1. Use the VOLUME button on your keypad to
increase the volume.
Make sure that the volume bar that appears on
the monitor is at least half-Þlled.
2. Ask the people at the far-end site if they have
muted the call.
If they have, ask them to unmute it.
3. If you detached an optional microphone, such as
the PowerMic, during the call, you must reattach
that microphone to receive audio.
4. Make sure that all cable connections to the
system and the monitor are correct and secure.
5. Make sure that the volume on the monitor is on
and at the appropriate level.
Start with the monitorÕs volume set at its middle
position.
6. If your system includes a Phone-Add modem,
make sure the modem's audio switch is toggled to
the appropriate mode of operation (VCR or voice
call) .
7. Hang up the call.
8. Call another site to see if you can hear each other.
If you can hear each other, the problem is with

hear each other, hang up the call and continue
