CONTROLS, COMPONENTS AND
INSTRUMENTS FUNCTIONS
1) Safety Lanyard
(engine cut-out switch)
The safety lanyard should be securely
snapped onto its switch to be fully op-
erational. The proper use of the lan-
yard stop switch can prevent a run-
away boat that otherwise could cause
severe personal injury or death.
Pulling the safety lanyard cap from the
switch stops the engine operation. Al-
ways attach the safety lanyard to the
operator's Personal Flotation Device
and snap the cap to the switch to be
able to start the engine.
WARNING
While the boat engines can be
stopped using the start/stop but-
tons, good driving habits recom-
mend that the safety lanyard also
be disconnected when stopped.
WARNING
Should the safety lanyard cap be-
come loose or fail to remain on its
switch, replace it immediately.
