PROBABLE CAUSE
DC power connections reversed or
incorrect.
Current limit = Y with a low or no
battery.
If this is a new installation, the
battery was probably not
charged.
If this is an existing installation,
DC power was lost or
inadequate.
Environment is too hot or too
cold.
Old battery on older installation. •
DC supply voltage failed.
General power failure.
DC power supply or panel Aux Pwr
is overloaded.
SOLUTION
Verify DC power wiring for polarity,
and integrity.
Connect a fully charged battery to
the 7845CZ.
Wait 24 hours and see if a low-
battery restore message is
received.
Check for correct wire gauge
and wire run length.
Check power supply voltage,
and make sure if a 7720V2TR
is used that it is not on a
switched outlet.
If temperature exceeds –30°C
to 60°C, battery capacity and/or
life is diminished. Replace
battery if required.
If this is an older installation,
replace the battery.
Check for correct wire gauge
and wire run length.
Check power supply voltage
and make sure if a 7720V2TR
is used that it is not on a
switched outlet.
Check if AC power failed at
installation site for an extended
period.
Check total DC current
consumption on the power supply
being used to power 7845CZ.
Make sure total current does not
exceed the power supply rated
value.
