7845CZ Installation and Setup Guide
Antenna
An ADEMCO cellular antenna is included (part number K4193). The 7825-OC Antenna is for
optional outdoor use.
Power
The unit is powered directly from a control panel's 12VDC source, or an optional 7720V2TR
12VDC power pack. The 7845CZ is not dependent on the battery to support transmissions,
and will draw up to 400mA from the DC source for up to 3 seconds at a time.
A programmable feature allows the installer to limit input current to 100mA when the unit
is powered from a control panel that cannot provide the 400mA peak transmit current. In
this mode, the radio is completely dependent on the backup battery to transmit, and will not
transmit if a low battery condition exists.
The battery for backup adds over 4 hours of additional system life during DC loss. ADEMCO
PN: K4362. 6 Volt, 0.5Ah.
