PROBLEM
Start Up Problems:
LEDs go through initial startup
pattern then turn off.
7845CZ never comes out of carrier
search mode.
Cannot get into programming mode
with the 7720P.
7845CZ (non PRO mode) does not
behave as expected, and the status
LEDs blink in unison on start-up.
PROBABLE CAUSE
7845CZ is defective and has failed
self-test. Connecting a 7720P to the
7845CZ and sending an "S"
command can confirm this. If the
FLT location indicates PLL, NAM,
or RDSD, the radio cannot be
serviced in the field.
MicroBurst unavailable.
Poor cellular coverage.
Poor location for radio.
Incorrect Carrier Select Option.
Current limit = Y with a low or
no battery.
Certain 7720Ps will not operate
from 6VDC.
The 7845CZ is not programmed.
S E C T I O N

Troubleshooting

SOLUTION
Replace 7845CZ and return
defective unit for repair.
Check web site
www.ADEMCO.com/alarmnet
or AlarmNet TAC @ 1-800-222-
6525 to determine availability.
Run 7845CZ with a charged
battery outside of the building.
Run 7845CZ with a charged
battery outside of the building.
If A only or B only selected,
make sure this is correct for
your area.
Connect a fully charged battery
to the 7845CZ and repeat
startup.
Run the 7845CZ from a 12VDC
source. (7720V2TR or 12V aux
from the control panel.)
Re-program the 7845CZ.
