4 Getting started

This chapter describes the first steps required for deploying CANlink GSM / UMTS
5xxx. It further contains useful tips and illustrations on how to set up, connect, and
mount the device.
4.1

Installing software

The RMsys Configurator software allows you to make all necessary settings for
operating CANlink GSM / UMTS 5xxx devices.
If you have not done so already, install RMsys Configurator on your PC.
1. Insert the RM System Tools CD or download the software from the website
of our partner RM Michaelides rmcan.com

2. If the System Tools CD does not start automatically, double-click
autostart.exe
