CONFIGURING MK8000
The following steps outline what you need to do to configure MK8000:
Set up the Composer project
Create a new project
Define the general structure of the project tree, taking into account the goal of
presenting a structure to the final user that is clear and familiar to him/her (Net-
work – Subsystems)
Create the MK8000 project and system architecture
Configure the communication network
Add and configure the subsystems, following the planned structure in the SPECS
Link the subsystems to the communication network
Add the required Communication Drivers
Connect the MK8000 with the network and FEP stations
Adjust network settings (baud rate, ports, etc)
Set vitality (mandatory if connecting CS11 without MK7022)
Set OPC group names (subsystems)
Set up the Multi-state value data format
Set up the diagnostic log
Transfer the Configuration to the MK8000
Test the configuration
Backup your Project
Generate an OPC configuration export file
Set the MK8000 server to automatically start, if necessary
