Uploading a Format File:

A Format file is used to define the format of

your field data as it is downloaded from the
instrument to your computer.
You can use Format files to output your field

data in several different formats.
You can create your own Format file or use

one of the predefined Format files.
The file NEHC.frt is a format file that is
•
distributed with Three Steps to Productivity.
You are already familiar with the Data
•
Exchange Manager, so uploading a Format file
should be easy.
Please work through Exercise #4 to learn how
•
to upload a format file.
