Setting up
The procedure for installing the ASF is:

Use
the printer's EDS mode to specify ASF as "installed". (For details,
refer to Chapter 5.)
Open the front cover by lifting up the front using the two grips on either
side, then remove the cover by pulling up.
Remove the paper guide, and move the release lever at the back of the
printer to the rear position as shown in Figure 7-2.
Move the bail lever on top of the printer to open the paper bail.

5. Secure the mounting brackets of..the Automatic Sheet Feeder onto the
shaft of the platen by lowering it into position as shown in Figure 7-3.
