Getting Started
The kit comes with several lens and pyroelectric sensor options. To provide a quick method of getting
the kit up and running, the ZMOTION MCU is initially programmed with ZMOTION_Basic project using
the RE200B-P pyroelectric sensor and the CWM 0.5 GI V1 lens. By installing the pyroelectric sensor
and the lens and then applying power, the basic operation of the kit may be observed.
1. Install the RE200B-P pyroelectric sensor as outlined below.
2. Install the CWM 0.5 GI V1 lens as described on page 6
3. Insert the power supply output connector into J1 on the Development Board and apply AC
power to the power supply.
4. Turn on the Development Board by sliding power switch S1 to the "ON" position.
5. The Blue power LED will turn on and the Red LED will turn ON initially and stay on until the
pyroelectric sensor stabilizes. This may take 5 to 30 seconds. Once the PIR sensor is stable,
the Red LED is turned off and only comes on when motion is detected.
6. Wave your hand over the lens and notice the LED turning ON for approximately 1 second.
