Configuring Mains and Groups Busses
The Main busses can be configured to operate as L–R plus
Mono (Left–Right stereo plus a Mono channel), or as L–C–R
(Left–Center–Right). See "Configuring the Main Busses" on
page 70.
D-Show has 8 Group busses that can be configured to be
mono or stereo as part of the overall Aux/Group bus configu-
ration. For more information on configuring Group busses,
see "Configuring Aux, Group, and Variable Group Busses" on
page 70. For more information on using Group busses, see
Chapter 9, "Groups."
Routing Channels to Auxes
Input Channels and FX Returns can be routed to Aux sends
using the input encoders (in Send mode) and using the Aux
Sends controls of the ACS.
To route one or more channels to an Aux send using the Input
Encoders:
Target the first channel you want to route by pressing its Se-
1
lect switch. Press the Multi-Select switch and then select addi-
tional channels to route multiple channels at once.
Press a Send (1–2 through 15–16) switch in the Encoder As-
2
sign section.
Press an input encoder to enable the selected Aux send on
3
the corresponding channel.
Rotate the encoder to adjust send level.
4
To route one or more channels to an Aux send using the ACS:
Target the first channel you want to route by pressing its Se-
1
lect switch.
Press the Multi-Select switch next the input faders.
2
Press the Select switches on the other channels you want to
3
route to the Auxes.
In the Aux Sends section, press the Aux 1–8 or 9–16 switch
4
to bank the ACS to the corresponding pairs of Aux sends.
Press an Aux Sends encoder (1/9 or 8/16) to enable that
5
send.
Rotate the encoder to adjust send level.
6
Configuring Aux Busses
D-Show can be configured to have 8 or 16 available Aux bus-
ses as part of the overall Aux/Group bus configuration. Mono
Aux buses can be linked in odd/even pairs to function in ste-
reo. For more information on linking Aux busses, see "Config-
uring Aux Busses and Variable Group Busses" on page 85.

Routing Channels to Variable Groups
To access Variable Group sends 1–8:
Make sure the system is configured for Variable Groups
1
mode.
Select an input channel to target it in the ACS.
2
Press the Variable Groups switch in the ACS Aux Sends sec-
3
tion. Or, click the Var Groups switch in the on-screen Bus As-
sign section (on the Inputs page for the selected channel).
Variable Groups 1–8 are now available in the ACS Aux Send
section, and from the assignable input encoder Sends 1–8.
Press an input encoder (1–8) to enable the selected Variable
4
Group on the corresponding channel.
Rotate the encoder to adjust send level.
5
For more information on using Aux busses, see Chapter 10,
"Auxes and Variable Groups."
Assigning Channels to VCAs
D-Show channels and output busses can be assigned to VCAs
for consolidated control of multiple channels and signals.
To assign one or more channels to a VCA:
Press the VCA switch to bank the Output Fader to VCAs.
1
Press the Select switch in the Output strip for the VCA (1–8)
2
to which you want to assign channels or busses.
Press the Multi Assign switch near the Output encoders.
3
While engaged, the Multi Assign and output Select switch
LEDs flash.
Press the Select switch on the inputs or outputs you want as-
4
signed to the currently targeted VCA. Use the Input and Out-
put Fader bank switches to access the desired channel strips.
Press the Multi Assign switch again to confirm the action.
5
– or –
Select another VCA to confirm the current assignment but re-
main in Multi Assign mode for the newly targeted bus or VCA.
Routing Channels to Matrix and PQ Busses
Matrix and PQ source assignments determine input signal
routing to each of the Matrix and PQ mixers. Matrix and PQ
source inputs can include up to 12 inputs per mixer.
Matrix and PQ signal routing is performed from the Matrix
and PQ tabs of the Outputs page. For information, see
Chapter 11, "Matrix Mixers and PQ Mixers."
