installing the electrics
5 .5. Co n n ection t h e c en t ra l u n it
The assignment of the inputs on the central unit can
be found in the electrical wiring diagram of the heat
pump.
Sensor design
The sensor positions are shown in the relevant
installation diagram. Reliable functioning can only
be ensured by correct positioning and a good heat
transfer (heat conducting paste).
If necessary, the sensors can be extended using
appropriate cables. It must be ensured that the
connection is clean and corrosion-free. Sensor lines
should be run separately from mains cables, (see
EMC issue!).
It is recommended to use shielded cables!
Sensor cables must be routed separately
from power supply cables (see EMC com-
patibility).
Sensor equipment
Most of the sensors are allready installed in the heat
pump. The following sensors are necessary in all
cases and must be installed external:
- Outside sensor B32
- Heating buffer sensor B38
- Flow sensor heating circuit A B51
- Sensor warm water station B42
- Hygienik sensor B41
For each TERRA SWM a sensor package
is enclosed.

Flow temperature sensor
The fl ow temperature sensors for the heating circuits
used are required in every case. They are fi tted onto
the relevant fl ow lines and connected according to
the connection plan.
The fl ow sensors for heating circuits C-G are connec-
ted to the relevant heating circuit expansion module.
(For more information, see installation instruction for
expansion module).
Assignment of the outputs
The assignment of the outputs is carried out accor-
ding to the wiring diagram of the heat pump.
System earthing
When the protective conductor is connected correct-
ly, the electrical panel and the heat pump casing are
earthed. After all maintenance work, ensure that the
potential equalisation has been restored correctly.
Composite signal zone valves
The composite signal zone valve setting generates a
request when one of the zone valves is open. The
difference to a room thermostat function is that, inde-
pendently of heating or cooling operations, a request
is generated when a zone valve contact is closed.
Connection external preselected target value
0-10V
For the connection of the external preselected tar-
get value 0-10V the input of the RFF room sensor
is used. Over this external 0-10V signal the desired
temperature will be indicated to the Navigator over a
higher Control system (BMS).
Installation instructions TERRA SWM
If zone valves are used, you can generate
composite signal from all zone valves to be
able to switch the heating and cooling cir-
cuit on and off with the thermostat function.
