8-Way Input Units
•
To change the input action on 8-way input boards press '6' to select the 'Action' option. The display
will then show how the first input has been configured:

"<>" to scroll inputs, CHANGE or ENTER

Press the '<' or '>' key to scroll through inputs 1 to 8.

Press the CHANGE key to change the action produced by a contact closure occurring at the input to
the unit. The options available are as listed above for signalling loop devices.

Press the ENTER key once all inputs have been set.
Each of the inputs can have a different action. For example, input 1 could put the zone in fire,
input 2 could put the zone in security alert, input 3 could put the zone in bomb alert, etc.
For information on commissioning and expanded / non-expanded mode use of the 8-Way Input Unit, refer
to the documentation supplied with the card.
5.3.5 Remote Control
•
Remote activation of some front panel control key functions and monitoring of panel status can be
achieved through specific use of peripheral input and relay cards from software version 830 onwards.
5.3.5.1
Panel Status Outputs
•
A 4-way relay card must be configured to address '19' on the peripheral bus and an auto-learn
performed. Operation of the first three outputs will then be as follows:

Simulating Control Keys
•
An 8-way input card must be configured to address '20' on the peripheral bus and an auto-learn performed.
It is also important that the input card is configured in non-expanded mode with each of the following inputs
configured as 'No Action' – for those inputs requiring control key functionality as follows:
