Signals between SINUMERIK and SINAMICS Safety Integrated

Signals from the drive → NC
Some signals that display Safety Integrated states in the drive must be communicated to the
SINUMERIK 828D so that it does not try to traverse an axis when, for example, SOS is
active. A Safety Integrated monitoring function responds in this case.
The following table provides an overview of the signals from the drive → NC:
Signal name
Signals SINAMICS → SINUMERIK
Internal event of all SI drive groups: An F-
DO of the TM54F can be programmed that
forms the AND result of the "Internal event"
signal of all existing groups.
Safe Speed Monitor (SSM) for all
axes/spindles of a group.
This signal has the level "1" when all drives
of the group are at standstill.
An F-DO can AND the SSM signal of the
groups

Proposal for the PLC user program
In the normal state, the signal level is "1". If
an internal event occurs, the travel enable
must be reset for all axes/spindles.
Normally, this F-DO is wired for the P/M
control of the door magnets. In this case,
the signal is not required directly in the
PLC.
Disabling of the traversing keys and the
handwheel.
In conjunction with SOS, not active. It is
identified as to whether SLS2 or SLS4 is
active. If SLS2 is active, the rapid jog key
is disabled.
Is used as Emergency Stop signal to the
PLC.
This signal is required when the test stop is
to start automatically.
Remark
You can test the shutdown paths of all drives
at the same time and perform the forced
dormant error detection of the F-DI and F-
DO.
