Keyboards The ER-390 Series keyboard includes 90 key positions with the default legends and key assignments as shown below. The keyboard legend sheet can be replaced by lifting the protective plastic cover. Programmable key locations are shown with a bold border.
Memory Clear CAUTION: The procedures described in this area are security sensitive. Clearing all or parts of the ER-390 Series memory may cause damage or loss to the program. Do not share this information with unauthorized users and distribute the special SERVICE-Mode key only to those you may want to perform these functions.

Item Registrations All registrations on ER-390 Series are made into open or preset PLUs. • In place of traditional PLU keys, some PLUs are located directly on the keyboard. • When more items or categories are needed than the number of PLUs available on the keyboard, registrations can be into PLUs by entering the PLU code number and pressing the PLU key on the keyboard.

ER-390 Series Second RS -232C Port Programming The ER-390 Series includes a standard second RS-232C port. The second port is set in the same manner as the first, using program 81: 1. Turn the control lock to the S position.

Tax Programming The ER-390 Series has the capability to support four separate taxes. Taxes can be calculated as either a straight percentage rate of between .001% and 99.999%, or a 60 break point tax table. Each tax may be either an add-on tax (added to the cost of a taxable item), or a value added tax (VAT) that is included in the price of the item.
