Danger of Unsafe System Operation!
To prevent personal injury or property damage, make sure that the removal
of the device from your plant during operation will not affect the safe
operation of the plant.
Ø Disconnect all communication cables from the device.
Ø Disconnect the power supply plug.
Ø Remove the device from the DIN top hat rail. .
Waste electronic equipment
Removal of battery
Prior to the disposal of the Edge Gateway, you have to remove the battery
for buffering the real-time-clock and to dispose it properly according to the
applicable rules. In order to do so, follow the subsequent instruction.
Ø Open the housing of the Edge Gateway by unscrewing the fastening
screws.
Ø Remove the battery from the Edge Gateway. The mounting position of
the battery is marked in the following photo of the opened Edge
Gateway by a blue rectangle.
Ø According to European Directive 2006/66/EU batteries may not be
treated as household waste. As a consumer, you are legally obliged to
dispose of batteries according to national and local regulations, for
instance at the public collection sites for waste batteries.
