Changing the frequency settings will automatically turn
calibration off with the symbol "Cal Off" to be displayed on
the screen along with an alarm sound. In this case,
recalibrate the instrument with the Open-Short-Load Calibration kit.

Calibration

The instrument must be calibrated to get reliable Cable Loss measurement
results. For best results, set the frequency and calibrate the instrument
immediately before taking measurements.

Calibration Kit which contains one 50ohm load, one Open
standard and one Short standard
To minimize the measurement error in Cable Loss measurement, don't
use unnecessary extension cables or adapters while performing
calibration. Figure 4.13 illustrates the recommended calibration
method for Cable Loss measurement.
