Service Manual for Thermador Pro Grand Dual Fuel Ranges:
1. Follow steps 1 through 7 of the Door Handle Components –
Removal and Replacement procedure, page 89.
2. Place the back door panel on a flat, stable, and non-abrasive
surface, with the porcelain side facing upward (see Figure 184).
The hinge and locking lever are in a specific position that occurs
after the oven door has been removed (as shown in Figure 184).
In this position, do not move the hinge with your hands.

3. Use a large deep-well socket or similar tool to securely place over
the hinge "thumb" and then press the tool downward just a little bit
(towards the base of the door - see Figure 185) and hold it there.
4. While still holding the hinge in the downward position, use a tool
(not your fingers) like a flat-blade screwdriver to press the hinge
locking lever downward (towards the hinge) as far as it goes.
See Figure 184.

5. With the deep-well socket or similar tool still pressing on the hinge
thumb, slowly release it, bringing the hinge and locking lever all
the way forward to the "safe" position for hinge removal. The
locking lever will have dropped into the slot (see Figure 186).
