Temperature monitoring and temperature display

The temperature is detected at critical device locations by temperature sensors. A
temperature sensor monitors the processor temperature. Other temperature sensors monitor
further critical points.
If the set temperature threshold is exceeded at a temperature sensor, the following reactions
are triggered:
● The "TEMP" status display flashes red.
● The device fans are running at full speed.
● The power supply fan is controlled by the power supply itself.
● A temperature alarm is output if the SIMATIC monitoring software is installed.
Note
When the device is operated according to instructions, no temperature error occurs.
In the event of a temperature error, check the following possible causes:
● Ventilation openings are covered
● Filter is heavily polluted
● Fan has failed
● Ambient temperature is above the permitted value
● Output power of the power supply is exceeded
The temperature error remains stored until the monitored temperatures fall below the
temperature threshold that is set. You can reset the error message with one of the following
measures:
● Acknowledge error message with SIMATIC IPC DiagBase or SIMATIC IPC DiagMonitor
● Short-term disconnection of the device from the power supply
● Shut down device
● Restart the device
