Failure to follow precautions

Avoid damaging the AC power
cord or DC supply cable
If the AC cord or DC supply cable is
damaged, fire or electric shock could
occur.
• Do not attempt to modify or repair
damaged cables.

• Always grasp the plug to unplug a cord
or cable.
If a cord is damaged, ask HUAWEI

during thunderstorms
You could receive an electric shock.
Do not use the product when
there is possibility of a
lightning strike
A lightning strike may damage the
product or cause an electric shock. When
a thunderstorm is pending, disconnect
network cables and unplug the power to
avoid fire, electric shock or damage to the
product. Do not touch the product while a
thunderstorm is actually occurring.

other devices
Connecting many devices to the same
power outlet can cause a fire if the current
exceeds the rated limit.
Ensure that the AC and DC
plugs of the AC adapter are
inserted securely
A plug that is not inserted securely can
cause a fire or electric shock.
Do not connect to a telephone
circuit or to a network other
than that specified
Connecting one of the following networks
or circuits to the network connector on the
product may cause excessive current flow
through the connector, which could result
in damage, overheating and fire.
Be especially careful to avoid connecting
to a home or business telephone circuit.
• Any network type other than 10BASE-
T or 100BASE-TX
• A standard telephone circuit
• The digital jack of an ISDN (digital)
public telephone
• A PBX (digital switching circuit for
home or business telephones)
• Any home or business telephone circuit
• Any other telephone circuit besides the
above
Also, before connecting to a network, you
should consult with that network's
administrator.
