INFINEA X mini FEATURES The Infinea X mini allows you to scan barcodes into an iPad mini. Before using the Infinea X mini, the battery should be fully charged. The following helps you get your Infinea X mini ready for use.

Secure the cover by tightening (8) torx screws. Infinea X Mini is molded specifically to the iPad mini 2, 3 and 4. iOS devices are not interchangeable. Do not pull on the audio jack cable with excessive force or damage the wires connecting the top and bottom covers.
Installing the Hand Strap Place the Infinea X mini face down and insert tail end of the hand strap up through the bottom of the metal strap latch located at the top of the device. If installed properly, the end of the strap should exit through the top of the latch and the Velcro side of the tail should be face down.
Standard and Extended Battery Installation The Infinea X mini is designed to support Standard and Extended external swappable battery packs. The swappable battery pack design reduces down time of the Infinea X Mini. Follow the steps below to install or replace the battery pack.

STATUS AND OPERATIONAL MODES Programmable LED Status The Infinea X Mini provides application developers with programmable, multi-color LEDs, as shown in the figure below. USING YOUR INFINEA X mini The Infinea X Mini 2D model uses a scan engine that supports two-dimensional (2D) and one dimensional (1D) barcode symbols. The effective reading distance of the barcode reader varies depending on the barcode size. Barcode Scanner—1D Barcodes To scan a 1D barcode: Activate the scanner by pressing the Scan button.
Barcode Scanner—2D Barcodes The Infinea X mini 2D model uses a scan engine that supports two-dimensional (2D). The effective reading distance of the barcode reader varies depending on the barcode size. To scan a 2D barcode: Press the Scan button to activate the scanner.
Place the RFID tag/card over the RFID label on the transmitter/receiver, keeping the face of the tag/card flat with the receiver/transmitter as close as possible. The data will be read and sent from the Infinea X Mini contactless reader to the iOS Device. Figure 12: Contactless Card Reader Depending on the type of RFID tags/cards being used, it may be necessary for tags/cards to make direct contact with the surface where the RFID receiver/transmitter is located for proper reading/writing.
The Infinea X Mini should now be in Sync mode. To disable Sync mode, exit iTunes and unplug the Charging Cup from the Infinea X Mini. Be sure to verify that the Pass-thru-Sync option is enabled in the SDK prior to syncing your device.

CLEANING Precautions The Infinea X mini is certified to meet IP54 Ingress Protection Marking per IEC 60529. Per the IP54 rating, the Infinea X Mini is protected against interference with normal operation of the Infinea X Mini sled caused by dust and splashing liquids. At no time should the Infinea X Mini’s sled be completely immersed in liquid.
