Study the path of paper through the DF.
The machine scans the original through the DF exposure glass.
The original stops at the registration sensor. However, there is no registration
like in the paper feed path (the feed motor in the ADF has stopped, so there is
no skew correction). The purpose of stopping here is for timing, so that the
original can be fed in at the correct time to synchronize with the rest of the copy
process.
