Use the upper looper c onverter to sew stit c hes
with one looper thread, su c h as 2-thread roll he m ,
2-thread f latlo c k and overlo c k .
• Turn the handwheel to lower the needles.
• S w i t c h t h e m a c h i n e o f f ( p o w e r s w i t c h
t o " O " ) .
• Open the looper c over.
• Atta c h the c onverter (stored in looper c over) to
the upper looper ar m (A). Insert the wire hoo k
into the upper looper eye ( B ) f ro m b a c k to f ront.
The upper looper has now b een c onverted, i.e., it
no longer c arries thread b ut it diverts the lower
looper thread so that loops are f or m ed.

• Turn the handwheel towards you until the
needles are f ully raised.
• For roll he m m ing, pull the sele c tion lever to
the f ront m ar k ing on the stit c h plate, f urthest
f ro m the presser f oot (C).
• For overlo c k ing, push the sele c tion lever to
the rear m ar k ing on the stit c h plate,
nearest to the presser f oot ( D ).
The roll he m m er is f ully integrated in the m a-
c hine. The edge o f the f a b ri c will b e auto m ati-
c ally rolled over, produ c ing a very narrow, f ine
sea m or he m . Roll he m m ing is ideal f or f inish-
ing edges on all f ine f a b ri c s, su c h as evening
c lothes, lingerie, sc arves, f rills and also f or
c urtains and nap k ins.
The presser f oot pressure is f a c tory ad j usted
to a m edium setting. Should you wish to ad-
j ust it, si m ply turn the k no b in the dire c tion de-
sired :
