7 Maintenance

7.1 Precautions

Before starting work, make sure that the safety instructions in the chapter
Introduction and Safety
DANGER: Electrical Hazard
Troubleshooting a live control panel exposes personnel to
hazardous voltages. Electrical troubleshooting must be done by
a qualified electrician.
DANGER: Crush Hazard
Moving parts can entangle or crush. Always disconnect and lock
out power before servicing to prevent unexpected startup.
Failure to do so could result in death or serious injury.

7.1.1 Battery

Check that the cable has been disconnected from the negative battery terminal,
as part of the power lock-out process.

7.2 Check the unit for general condition

Make sure that the unit is free from dust. Clean it by using a soft cloth.
Check the terminals for corrosion.

7.3 Replace a damaged unit

1. Disconnect the cable from the unit.
2. Remove the current unit and replace it with a new unit.
3. Follow the instructions in
wiring harness to the control panel
4. Send the old unit back to the manufacturer.
