PROGRAMMING THE FAX MACHINE TO POLL A DOCUMENT (POLLING IN RECEPTION)

Before you can poll a document from a remote machine, you must first set your machine to receive the
document. This entails programming the dialling method to be used to call the remote machine and the
time at which the document is to be transmitted.
Note that selecting the polling function excludes selection of the delayed transmission function, i.e. you
cannot select both these functions simultaneously.

you have arranged with the remote party the time at which the
document is to be polled (e.g. 17:30).

Press START.
The display shows a message asking you to program the type of
dialling you wish to utilise to call the fax number of the remote
machine at the set time.
You may choose between manual dialling (entering the number
from the fax machine keypad) or automatic (one touch or speed
dial).

Program the fax number as follows:
− Enter the fax number of the remote party on the keypad of
the fax machine.
The display shows the name, if programmed, or the number
entered (e.g. 780249)
or
− Press the relative one touch key ( e. g. 07).
The display will show the stored number (e.g. 780249).
or
− Press SPEED DIAL
The display will prompt you to enter the required code. Enter
the code (e.g. 01) and press START. The display will show
the name associated with the code (if programmed).
IF...
on pressing a one touch key or setting a speed dial code, the
message "Not programmed", appears, press another key, or
press STOP to quit the programming procedure and then
program the key following the instructions given in the section:
DIALLING.

The display prompts you to enter the time at which the document
is to be polled (e.g. 17:30).
